Test Description for Series 3 Land & Water Triple w/ an Honor

This beautiful Oregon morning we are overlooking a valley on the Kahn Ranch, it is here two stair-step ponds are nestled among the hills. The sky is overcast with a whisper of wind coming out of the Southeast, switching out of the East at times. The mat is facing due South on a gentle rise about 50 yrds away from the first pond the dogs encounter. This is a water/land combination marking test with two retired guns stations and a flyer. There is also an honor included in this standard triple that is taking the dogs 6:00 minutes to complete. The order in which the guns are shot begin with the middle, then left-hand gun station, and lastly the flyer is the go-bird. There are large square bales sprinkled throughout the landscape. The Judges have taken full advantage of these bales by staking them tall around the holding blinds of the retired gun stations. We will refer to the gun stations as such, Middle Retired (MR), Left Retired (LR), Flyer. All birds are hen mallards.

Special Announcement from the Field Trial Chairman & Callbacks

Callbacks to the Third Series:
Only two dogs were dropped: #9 and #18. (#94 was a scratch.) 101 dogs will be back to the Third Series.

The first starting dog for the Third Series on Monday morning is dog #59.
This Test will be held on the Kahn Ranch and will consist of a combination land/water triple. The Chairman has advised that we will be using all ducks.

Test Dogs will start at 6:30 am.

The first running dog, #59, will be at 7:00 am.

Blind: great initial line with one whistle that carried Manny to the end where he need a few more whistles to complete the blind.

Flyer: drove deep up the hill thru the arch began to hunt deep and left where Chris Handled Nitro to the bird.

Blind: a couple quick whistles that carried Nitro to the bird for a job well done.
