How To Draw.......

Traditionally the National Clubs will number Avery bumpers, throw them in a pile and have a non-competing dog run back to the pile to retrieve the starting number. Then typically the contestants are given the bumper with their dog's running number on it.

This year was a special treat for the contestants. NARC President Arnie Erwin created wooden blind stakes; hand-carved and painted with feathers and their number that were placed in a large bucket. The Douglas County Commissioner, Doug Robertson chose the starting number for the 2014 National Amateur Retriever Championship.
